Henry and David Would Like a Mom and Dad! REDUCED FEES!!

Henry and David have been waiting for almost two years for a family.  Henry and David live in Africa.  They have seen MANY of the children come and go at the Thomas Center and know that they would like to have a home of their own.

Henry is an outgoing 8 year old boy.  He has a charming twinkle in his eyes and has no known medical problems.  Henry is extremely intelligent for his age and is a delight to those around him.  Henry does well in school and is on track developmentally.

David is a healthy 5 year old little boy.  His mental and physical development is normal for his age.  He has had mild stabismus (cross eyes) since infancy.  David does well in school and is on track developmentally.

Both boys were sent to orphanage by a mother who was unable to raise them due to being left by their father without economic support.  If you have room in your heart and your home for these boys we would love to talk with you.  A generous grant has been provided to help secure these boys a loving home.  Please email patty.fuchs@chiadopt.org for more information.

Could you Love US?

Sometimes working in adoption is a joyful experience.  Sometimes it can break your heart.  This little girl is waiting for a home.  She is three years old and longs to know the love of a mother and father.  Her older brother waits for the security of a permanent home....He is four.  The baby brother is only two....he needs a mom to hold him, to snuggle him and kiss his chubby baby neck!  Could you love these children?  Could you bring them into your home?  Could you raise them and watch them meet and surpass the normal milestones of childhood.  Could you watch this lovely girl blossom into the lovely woman she will someday be?

This is the second set of siblings that I have been asked to find a home for that have one sibling that is HIV positive.  The children have no known health issues and seem developmentally on track.  Behavior reports are glowing.  Typically a sibling group like these would find a family quickly.  HIV tends to be a conversation ender when talking to most families.  Do these families know that HIV is now considered more easily controlled than diabetes?  Do they know that HIV is actually a fragile virus that is very difficult to pass and there must be a fluid exchange.  Do they know that you won't catch HIV from sharing a cup, from changing a diaper or from kissing your little boy....If you could open your heart and love these children, please contact me at nina.thompson@chiadopt.org.

Two Little Boys...

We have two little brothers waiting patiently for referral to a new family!  They are two and three years old and were both born prematurely.  The older boy has made great strides in his development through good physical therapy that has been provided in his home country in Eastern Europe.  He enjoys painting and playing with molding clay.  He is now considered developmentally on track and is a healthy little boy!

The younger brother is still showing motor skill delays but is making progress.  At two years of age he is standing and crawling, but cannot yet walk.  This boy also has poor vision that may be impacting his development.  The psychological evaluation describes both boys as "cheerful, joyful and have a great need for closeness and love."  If you are ready to open your heart to these two blond haired, blue eyed boys please email us for more information.
